PICS: Papercuts w/ Still Corners at The Bishop
This past week Papercuts stopped by The Bishop with my new favorite band Still Corners and Mike Adams At His Honest Weight, who was in full pizza-giving-away-tiger-head wearing-crisp-white-clothes glory. Click the pic to view the full gallery, courtesy of Ms. Taylor Swaim who made Still Corners look like Jefferson Airplane in ‘66. That girl has a way with a b&w lens.

Big K.R.I.T. - "Dreamin" Video
Big K.R.I.T. continues to walk in the footsteps of Southernplayalisticadillamuzik-era Outkast and early Geto Boys, bringing a soulfulness to the beats some real heart to his lyrics. K.R.I.T. isn’t gangsta, he’s just trying to get over, spinning tales of life and hardship in Mississippi. “Dreamin” is the first video off of his soon to be released tape Returnof4eva.

Getting to know: PAPERCUTS

“Mixing 60s production with dream-pop shimmer, are these wafty British etherealists heralding a new golden age of indie? We’re not...

Get To Know: Mike Adams At His Honest Weight
Words by St. Ives. After the jump, audio and video from the interweb.
“Michael Dwayne Adams has a unique gift for crafting engaging melodies while applying some well-oiled decision-making skills. Not since Low’s Secret Name has an album so easily lent itself to being the perfect accompaniment to either having a full-blown existential crisis or simply making out in the backseat at...

Charles Bradley live in Paris
Charles Bradley is the latest Daptone family revelation like Sharon, Lee and Naomi before him. Born in Gainesville, FL in 1948 (side note: I lived in Gainesville for 7 years and to this day the best live soul I have ever heard was witnessed at a gas station. A group of 50-something men were going to town on some James Brown in a second floor apartment. I asked them if they ever played out and...
